According to CoinMeta, Liquid AI has released and open-sourced a new generation of on-device hybrid expert model, LFM2.5-8B-A1B. This model is specifically designed for mobile phones, computers, and robots. Although it has a total of 8B parameters, it only requires 1B activation parameters per run, making it extremely lightweight to operate. The model utilizes the LFM open-weight license and supports local fine-tuning and offline operation on personal devices or single consumer-grade graphics cards. In addition, Liquid AI has also released a visual language model, LFM2.5-VL-3B, which is aimed at local devices such as mobile phones and computers. It can understand web pages, APP interfaces, documents, and multiple images, and also adds the capability to call visual tools.
