According to CoinMeta, Swiss banking group UBS Group ( Swissquote Group ) has lowered its full-year revenue and profit forecasts due to a 66.2% plunge in net crypto revenue in the first half of the year, which dropped to 14.6 million Swiss francs (approximately 18 million US dollars). The company stated that crypto trading volume decreased by 63.5% to 2.58 billion Swiss francs, resulting in the business not meeting initial expectations. Bitcoin fell by 33% over the six months ending June 30, while Ethereum fell by 47%. UBS also recorded a loss of 5.3 million Swiss francs on its holdings of cryptocurrencies to support trading on its SQX exchange. Despite this, customer assets still grew by nearly 20% to 96.3 billion Swiss francs. The company's stock price fell by 14% after the announcement.
