Sequoia in talks with Wellington for $750 million in financing Kalshi

According to CoinMeta, prediction market giant Kalshi is in talks with Sequoia Capital and Wellington Management to conduct a round of financing worth $750 million, with a valuation reaching $40 billion. Sequoia is already an existing investor in Kalshi, and this round of financing for Wellington will be its first investment in the company. The CEO of Kalshi, Tarek Mansour, stated that the company is considering going public in 2027. Kalshi's recent annual revenue has increased to $4 billion, mainly driven by bets placed during the 2026 World Cup.
