Solana: Infrastructure failures raise doubts about the rebound in the price of SOL
2026-08-13 22:28:32
According to CoinMeta, the Solana network affected 102 staking validators during an infrastructure failure, but was still able to maintain block production and transaction processing. While the price of SOL is still consolidating, traders are concerned to see if this incident will change the likelihood of a rebound. At the time of the failure, 597 out of 699 staking validators continued to vote, accounting for about 85%. The affected validators recovered within 40 minutes, and this incident was related to a single infrastructure provider rather than a failure of the entire set of validators. Solana recorded $1.652 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume over the past 24 hours, surpassing Ethereum's $854 million. Although this failure did not directly affect the price of SOL, the sustained high level of network activity provides support for future price trends.
