AMD Plans to Raise $4 Billion to $5 Billion Through Debt Issuance

According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Reuters, AMD launched a four-part debt issuance on August 13 with the aim of raising $4 billion to $5 billion to fund general corporate purposes and possibly to repay existing debts. The issuance includes senior unsecured notes with maturities of 2029, 2031, 2033, and 2036. Preliminary price discussions set 3-year notes at 70 basis points above U.S. Treasury bonds, 5-year notes at 90 basis points, 7-year notes at 100 basis points, and 10-year notes at 115 basis points. AMD has not immediately responded to Reuters' request for comment. The company also submitted documents related to this issuance to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday, but did not disclose the specific terms. According to the terms, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Barclays, and Wells Fargo are leading the debt sale, and it is expected that the bonds will settle on August 17.
