According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, the crypto exchange Gemini recorded a net loss of $107.7 million in the second quarter, suffering losses for the fourth consecutive quarter. Nevertheless, Gemini saw its revenue increase by 37% year-on-year to $45.5 million. The platform's asset size decreased by 54% to $8.4 billion, and the company attributed this to the decline in crypto asset prices and the outflow of funds from its institutional custody business. Gemini is expanding its revenue sources through predictive markets and stock trading; it forecasted $500,000 in revenue from predictive markets in the second quarter, with the operating loss narrowing by 18% quarter-over-quarter, and total operating expenses dropping to $122.4 million.
