According to CoinMeta, Park Soo-ryong, a member of the Korean People Power Party, criticized the government's plan to tax profits from virtual assets, calling it a punitive tax and demanding its immediate withdrawal. Park Soo-ryong stated that this plan puts 13 million digital asset users in danger and will not encourage citizens to invest in domestic stocks; instead, it will accelerate the outflow of national wealth. She pointed out that from January to September last year, approximately 124 trillion Korean won flowed into overseas digital asset exchanges.
