Ripple Sherlock Audit reveals 96 vulnerabilities, with no impact on user wallets
2026-08-15 13:43:43
According to CoinMeta, an audit of Ripple by Sherlock identified 96 vulnerabilities, which did not affect any user wallets. In addition, a $550,000 community audit competition revealed two critical vulnerabilities in the functionality of XRP Ledger that could lead to user accounts being emptied without private keys. These findings indicate that the model used before the audit of Ripple has a significant difference from the later patching approach of the broader cryptocurrency industry in terms of vulnerability fixing.
