Binance supported by SafePal exposes data breach: Information of 40,000 users has been leaked

According to CoinMeta, the unmanaged wallet SafePal supported by Binance recently announced that a security incident was discovered, which resulted in unauthorized access to the order information of approximately 39,798 users. The incident involved users who placed orders between March 2, 2025, and April 11, 2026, with details including names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and purchase details. SafePal stated that although the users' wallets, mnemonics, and private keys are secure, the leaked order details could potentially be used for phishing attacks. All affected customers have been notified individually via email. The issue has been resolved with additional security measures.
