According to CoinMeta, Austrian regulatory authorities imposed a fine of 70,000 euros (about $82,000) on Bitpanda for violating EU regulations regarding crypto assets ( MiCA ). The Austrian Financial Market Authority ( FMA ) stated that Bitpanda failed to submit the required crypto asset white paper at least 20 working days prior to its release and also published marketing materials without disclosing the necessary information. This fine is the first final penalty issued by FMA in accordance with MiCA.
