According to CoinMeta, NVIDIA invested $1.5 billion in SB Energy under SoftBank to support its 20-year data center leasing project with OpenAI. The total capacity of this project is 8 IT gigawatts. NVIDIA provided credit support for the first phase of the project, which is 4.25 IT gigawatts, and retained the option to add an additional 3.75 IT gigawatts of capacity. A community fund of $80 million was established for the project, of which OpenAI contributed $40 million to the community welfare fund. Groq was valued at $3.5 billion in the latest round of financing.
