According to CoinMeta, OpenAI announced a 20-year lease agreement with NVIDIA, with an initial AI capacity of 4.25 gigawatts, and the lease was secured with a guarantee of up to $105 billion. As per the announcement on August 17th by NVIDIA, OpenAI will utilize this data center in the Ports-Pike technology park in Ohio, with SB Energy responsible for building and operating the infrastructure. NVIDIA will serve as the exclusive AI computing provider for the park, offering its DSX AI factory platform. The park is expected to commence providing initial capacity in phases by 2028, and the project is anticipated to create approximately 35,000 construction jobs, as well as around 2,500 permanent operational positions.
