According to CoinMeta, Swiss multinational investment bank UBS and the hedge fund Tudor Investment founded by billionaire Paul Tudor Jones both increased their holdings of spot Bitcoin ETF from Blackstone in the second quarter of 2026. UBS reported that as of June 30, the number of option contracts related to 1.95 million shares IBIT had increased by more than 24 times from 80,000 three months prior, and the directly held shares IBIT also increased by 12% to 407,890 shares, valued at approximately $13.6 million. Meanwhile, the bank's put option holdings decreased by 53% to 143,300 shares. At the same time, Tudor Investment increased its holdings of IBIT by 18.9% to 688,529 shares, valued at about $22.9 million. This purchase marks a reversal from the company's reduction in holdings during 2025. Despite the decline in Bitcoin prices, an increasing number of banks and investment companies increased their exposure to crypto investment products in the second quarter.
