2026-08-18 03:44:58
According to CoinMeta, Strategy, the executive chairman Michael Saylor, stated that currently, repurchasing MSTR shares is not a priority for the company. Repurchase would only be considered when there is a significant discount on the relative asset net value of MSTR ( NAV ). Strategy is currently focusing more on the STRC preferred stock business and cash reserves. The company currently holds about $4.8 billion in cash to cover STRC dividends and to maintain flexibility for purchasing Bitcoin, repurchasing MSTR or preferred stocks, as well as for debt repayment. Saylor mentioned that the company needs to have the capability to buy and sell Bitcoin and will adjust its cash retention and buying pace based on the level of Bitcoin relative to its 200-week average price. He believes that MSTR investors should hold for at least 4 years, preferably 7 to 10 years, and advised investors to "be prepared to go through difficult years."
