DBS Group: Japan's central bank may accelerate its interest rate hikes to once every 3 to 4 months

According to CoinMeta, analysts at DBS Group suggest that the Bank of Japan may accelerate its interest rate hike schedule from once every six months to once every three to four months, and are anticipating the next rate hike to occur in September, with the overnight interbank lending rate expected to reach 1.75% by the middle of 2027. DBS Group has raised its growth forecast for Japan in 2026 from 0.5% to 0.9%, and increased its forecast for 2027 from 0.5% to 1.0%.
