Bitcoin Price Key Levels: Bulls Face Liquidation Risk
2026-08-18 14:01:56
According to CoinMeta, the current price of Bitcoin is $64,137.53. Analysts point out that $57,000 is a key level, and if the price falls to that level, long positions may face liquidation risks. Analyst Joao Wedson suggests that if Bitcoin trading drops into that range, there could be a large-scale liquidation of long positions. The current market trading volume is relatively low, and the number of active contracts is exceptionally high compared to the trading volume, which may lead to increased price volatility during liquidation. Historical data shows that during past bear market cycles, prices have experienced severe collapses of 76% to 84%. Bitcoin is currently trading near $64,000, and the daily chart indicates the potential formation of a reverse head-and-shoulders bottom pattern. If confirmed, this bullish pattern could drive prices up to $76,000.
