According to CoinMeta, Wu said that the Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court announced a typical case of virtual currency-related fraud. Three defendants were part of an overseas fraud syndicate that lured victims into fraudulent groups, resulting in a total loss of over 2.34 million yuan for 30 people, with payments settled through virtual currencies. The court pointed out that whether the "traffic facilitators" constituted accomplices in the fraud depended on whether they had clear criminal intent and a stable division of labor with the upstream operators. In this case, all three defendants were ultimately sentenced to 10 to 13 years in prison for fraud.
