According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Coin Bureau, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed to reinstate public sales of crypto tokens to retail investors in the United States, which could revive early-stage financing. Crypto startups would be able to raise up to $5 million without undergoing comprehensive registration or having a limit on the number of investors, while larger projects could raise up to $75 million per year. The plan would also create a legal pathway for eligible tokens to exit the investment contract framework after the issuer completes or permanently abandons the promised work.
