According to CoinMeta, the crypto-political action committee Protect Progress, which is affiliated with Fairshake and funded by individuals such as Coinbase and Ripple Labs, has spent over $2 million on advertising in Florida's 24th Congressional district to oppose Democratic candidate Oliver Gilbert. Gilbert has not previously made any public stance on crypto policies, but it has received backing from incumbent member of Congress Frederica Wilson.
