According to CoinMeta, Venezuelan Oil Minister Paula Henao stated on Tuesday local time that Venezuela has signed oil-related contracts with the American oilfield services giant Schlumberger (SLB) and independent producer Hunt Oil Company, with the aim of attracting investment and increasing crude oil production. These signings come at a time when Caracas and Washington are pushing to accelerate investment in Venezuela's vast but yet to be fully developed oil reserves. Henao also mentioned that the Venezuelan government has signed a framework agreement with SLB, which will benefit Venezuela.
