2026-08-19 12:52:38
According to CoinMeta, the main focus of today's European economic calendar is the UK Consumer Price Index ( CPI ) report, which is expected to be highly anticipated. Projections indicate that the UK's annual inflation rate will rebound from 2.6% in June (unrounded to 2.65%) to 2.9% in July. Meanwhile, the core annual inflation rate is expected to fall slightly to 2.5% (unrounded to 2.52%), compared to 2.6% in June (unrounded to 2.57%). Inflation in the services sector is expected to remain stubborn, but it will drop to 3.4% in July (from 3.6% in June). Analysts point out that the government's summer savings policy may have a certain impact on the prices of leisure and catering services. Unless inflation surges unexpectedly to 3% or higher, it is not expected to have a significant impact on the policy prospects of the Bank of England.
