According to CoinMeta, in its latest report, Goldman Sachs pointed out that artificial intelligence is having an impact on the labor markets of major developed economies, with particularly noticeable effects in countries such as Germany, Australia, and the United States. The study found that in industries that have been significantly affected by automation, job vacancies have generally slowed down since the second half of 2022. Employment growth in the information and communication services sector has slowed in almost all major developed economies, but in regions outside of the United States, employment in these industries is still close to or above long-term trends. Goldman Sachs also noted that employment in sectors such as call centers, software publishing, management consulting, and advertising is significantly below historical trends, with call center employment in the United States, Canada, and Germany being 39%, 33%, and 27% below trend, respectively. In addition, the employment pressure related to automation is particularly evident among entry-level workers. Goldman Sachs analyzed employment growth in over 800 occupations and found that the resistance related to automation is most pronounced among entry-level workers. Overall, although the adoption of automation is gradually expanding in developed economies, its impact on the labor market remains limited to relatively narrow industries and groups of workers.
