Ripple CEO: Rumors about IPO Draw Attention
2026-08-19 17:28:32
According to CoinMeta, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated at the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium that Ripple's attitude towards a potential initial public offering (IPO) has shifted from firm opposition to a more neutral stance. He mentioned that Ripple has always enjoyed being a private company, but now holds a more neutral view on the issue of going public. Although Ripple predicted a boom in the crypto industry in 2020, litigation SEC has hindered this plan. Garlinghouse emphasized that Ripple first needs to resolve legal disputes with SEC and obtain the necessary regulatory clarity before considering an IPO. Despite the company's victory in its battle with SEC, Garlinghouse still indicates that an IPO in the United States is not a priority in the short term.
