According to CoinMeta, the Singapore International Commercial Court has frozen approximately S$75 million (about $58 million) in Bitcoin and USDC. The reason is that a large cryptocurrency trading platform claimed that an internal ledger error led to the incorrect recording of thousands of BTC and Bitcoin cash into the account of a long-term customer. The court's temporary asset freeze order prohibits the customer from disposing of, trading, or reducing the value of about 780 BTC and 816,773 USDC. The order was approved on March 26 and involves an anonymous company that has used the platform since 2013. Court documents only identify the parties as DVA, DVB, and DVC. The court also ordered the defendant to disclose the location where the disputed assets and their earnings are held.
