According to CoinMeta, SK Hynix saw its stock price rise by 6% on Wednesday morning to $164.70 following the approval of a $29 billion share repurchase plan. This is the largest share repurchase in South Korean history and has boosted market optimism towards memory stocks. Meanwhile, SanDisk's stock price increased by 5%, and Micron's stock price rose by 3%. SK Hynix's repurchase plan will take place from August 20 to November 19, with an estimated cancellation of about 24.07 million shares, which accounts for approximately 3.3% of the total outstanding shares.
