According to CoinMeta, based on Coingecko data, Bitcoin's price soared to a high of $68,982.40 within the past 24 hours before falling back to around $68,189.62, representing a gain of about 5.4%. This increase marks Bitcoin's first breakthrough above $68,000 since June and also sets a new record with the first daily settlement volume exceeding $1 billion in Bitcoin's history. K33 research data shows that Bitcoin perpetual contracts recorded approximately $1.1 billion in short-term settlements in a single day, surpassing previous major settlement events. According to CoinMeta data, the total settlement amount in the crypto market over the past 24 hours reached $1.92 billion, of which short positions accounted for $1.74 billion.
