According to CoinMeta, the valuation of AI, a programming company known as Cognition, has soared to $40 billion, an increase of over 50% from $26 billion at the end of May. Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, reports that Cognition is in preliminary contact with investors, planning to raise funds at a valuation of at least $40 billion, with the amount to be raised expected to exceed $1 billion. The core product of Cognition is a Devin, which is a type of AI programming tool that can take on tasks, write code, run tests, and deliver the code on its own. Additionally, SpaceX recently acquired Cursor for $60 billion and is now rumored to be interested in acquiring Cognition, although the latter has not participated in the negotiations. Cognition CEO Scott Wu later stated on social media that the related reports are "not true," emphasizing that the company "does not sell" and that the two parties "are not in talks."
