According to CoinMeta, Injective has obtained registration as a transfer agent from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) through its subsidiary Injective Institutional Services, which enhances the compliance with securities ownership and record-keeping functions for its Layer blockchain network. This registration allows its subsidiary to maintain official records of securities ownership, handle changes in ownership, and support administrative functions including distributions and corporate actions. Injective states that this registration makes it the first Layer blockchain to have the infrastructure and regulatory readiness required by RWA, enabling an accelerated tokenization process. This registration completes the application submitted by Injective in July, and now the plan has been transformed from an application into an operational regulatory status.
