According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Reuters, companies in emerging industries such as cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence (AI), and predictive platforms, along with billionaires, are becoming a key source of funding for the 2026 mid-term elections in the United States, breaking the previous pattern dominated by traditional giants from Wall Street, pharmaceuticals, and energy. Data from the non-profit watchdog Public Citizen shows that in the 15 months up to the end of this first quarter, American companies have invested a record $517 million in congressional campaigns, surpassing the total spent throughout the 2024 election cycle.
