Institution: Inflation Remains the Top Concern for Fed Policy
2026-08-20 19:55:35
According to CoinMeta, Karen Manna, a fixed-income strategist and portfolio manager at Hermès Investment Management, stated in a report that inflation in the United States remains the primary concern for policymakers. Federal Reserve officials have shown significant consistency on this point. Policymakers have also repeatedly indicated that the current U.S. labor market is no longer seen as a major source of inflationary pressure. Instead, the employment situation is increasingly viewed as being closer to equilibrium. As a result, the policy focus has shifted from concerns about the labor market to inflation as the main variable.
