According to CoinMeta, Dirjen Minerba, the Director General of Mines and Coal of Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, stated that about a dozen nickel companies and dozens of coal companies have obtained approval for the revisions in 2026. According to Mysteel data, this week the approved capacity utilization rate of 523 coking coal mines was 68.2%, an increase of 0.7% from the previous week. The average daily output of raw coal was 1.532 million tons, an increase of 16,000 tons from the previous week, and the raw coal inventory was 4.08 million tons, an increase of 17,000 tons from the previous week.
