Hungary repeals strict encryption regulations, in compliance with EU MiCA framework

According to CoinMeta, the Hungarian Parliament voted to repeal the clause that required verification checks for the conversion of crypto assets in order to comply with the EU MiCA framework. This measure also abolished penalties for crypto-related crimes, which could previously result in up to eight years in prison. As a result, Hungary is decriminalizing crypto asset-related crimes in the process of implementing MiCA.
