According to CoinMeta, UK retail sales fell by 0.5% month-on-month in July, in line with market expectations. Previously, retail sales were expected to have grown by 1.0% month-on-month in June, but that figure was revised to a 0.7% increase. Excluding cars and fuel, retail sales in July fell by 0.9% month-on-month, compared to an expected decline of 0.5% and a year-on-year growth of 2.3%, which was previously anticipated to be 3.3%.
