2026-08-21 20:42:04
According to CoinMeta, espresso officially announced that its decaf test network has achieved sub-second final confirmation times ( subsecond finality ). This test network uses the same node geographical distribution as the mainnet, and the current confirmation time is about 0.24 seconds. The team is working to further reduce the performance gap between it and the mainnet. In the next phase, this performance goal will be carried over to the mainnet deployment. The project was previously positioned as a shared sorting and fast-finality infrastructure for rollup, aiming to improve transaction confirmation speeds and interoperability in the multi-chain ecosystem.
