The IDF claimed that earlier in the day, several "suspects" were detected entering a building in the Balachit area of the southern Lebanese "security buffer zone," posing a threat to IDF soldiers, prompting the IDF to launch the strike. The IDF also stated that they will continue to take action to eliminate this "imminent threat," while at the same time, they "continue to be committed to adhering to the agreements reached between Israel and Lebanon."
