According to CoinMeta, the price of Solana has risen by 25% in the past week, briefly reaching $93.39 on August 21. The bearish pressure in the market pushed SOL to break through its main moving averages. This breakthrough has opened the way for prices to reach $98 and $100, although overbought daily indicators increase the risk of a short-term pullback. According to data from Crypto.News, the price of Solana ($BJWKEEP_00005__) was near $92 at the time of writing, with a gain of nearly 5% within the day. This rise has taken the token out of its price range since June. The daily chart shows that SOL broke through the resistance range of $76-78, clearing its previous high of $82 and changing the short-term market structure. This upward movement was accompanied by an increase in trading activity, supporting the trend beyond the previous range. SOL has now returned to its price levels since May, a range that sellers had defended between $94 and $98. This rise followed a broader bearish squeeze in cryptocurrencies, with over $4 billion in short positions being wiped out within 48 hours. The rapid increase of Solana relative to larger assets reflects its volatility during changes in market sentiment.
