According to CoinMeta, SEC official Mark Uyeda stated that the Biden administration's crypto policy is aimed at "preventing them from entering the United States." He pointed out that during the Biden era, SEC adopted a "law enforcement supervision" approach towards the crypto industry. Uyeda listed three reversal measures taken during the Trump era: 1. Withdrawal of law enforcement cases that "were fundamentally untenable"; 2. Clarification of which matters fall under the jurisdiction of SEC; 3. Proposals for new fundraising rules that allowed crypto startups to raise up to $75 million in funds without undergoing comprehensive registration. Uyeda expressed "great optimism" about Congress passing the Clear Act.
