According to CoinMeta, South Korean exchanges ( KRX ) plan to launch a new type of securities market on November 16th, where assets such as artworks, real estate, and music copyrights will be able to be traded like stocks through securities accounts. The South Korean exchanges are advancing the construction of the trading system and have conducted a six-week simulation trading period from October 6th to November 13th. The official opening time will be adjusted based on the approval progress of financial regulatory authorities. Investors will be able to buy and sell through securities company accounts, and the trading hours will be consistent with those of the stock market. The new securities to be listed in November will be issued using traditional electronic securities methods, while tokenized securities based on blockchain technology will be implemented after the relevant laws are enacted in February 2027.
