Senior Iranian security official: Trump's reckless actions have prompted countries to desire nuclear weapons
2026-08-23 05:24:21
According to CoinMeta, as reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Larijani stated: "Trump's reckless actions of launching attacks on Iran have strengthened the desire of countries around the world to acquire nuclear weapons, especially after they saw that joining the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) could not effectively prevent the United States from launching attacks. What Trump has created is not nuclear security, but rather nuclear insecurity. Iran has accepted and complied with all international safeguards and supervision, is a member state of the NPT, and agrees to undergo inspections. Iran is the only country that leads all others in complying with nuclear regulations."
