According to CoinMeta, Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Larijani warned Gulf countries not to join the economic sanctions imposed by the United States against Iran, stating that Tehran would target the interests of these countries in retaliation. He said, "If the countries surrounding Iran join the economic war led by the United States, not a single drop of oil will remain in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, and we will also strike other oil export routes in the Persian Gulf." Larijani also claimed that Trump launched the economic war against Iran at the persuasion of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. He added that Trump was initially skeptical about this idea, but Netanyahu convinced him to try it for two to three months before assessing whether to continue it for another six months. He reiterated Iran's unity, saying, "What the enemy hopes for is division and discord."
