According to CoinMeta, based on cryptorank data, the open interest of decentralized exchanges for perpetual contracts (perp DEX) has surpassed $20 billion, reaching a new high since 2026. Earlier this year, this figure dropped to around $11 billion, and it has now rebounded by about 80.4% from that low point, although it is still below the high recorded in 2025.
