Bitcoin price breaks through the $58,000 forecast for Brandt

According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin approached $76,600 on August 23, having reached $79,500 just two days prior. This fluctuation sparked discussions about whether the prediction of $58,000 to $62,000 by veteran trader Peter Brandt was incorrect. Brandt predicted that Bitcoin would reach this range in January, at a time when the trading price was near $92,400. Bitcoin then fell to around $57,717 on July 1 and hovered near that target range before beginning to rebound. Brandt stated on January 19, "$58,000 to $62,000 is where I think it will go." Although it did not reach this target in a short period, it eventually fell within the predicted range during the downward trend of 2026. According to Fortune, Bitcoin's price on July 1 was $58,278, with a intraday low close to $57,717. Brandt correctly identified the subsequent trading range, but his two-week time frame was too short. To label the entire prediction as incorrect, considering that Bitcoin is now trading above $76,000, ignores the intermediate declines.
