2026-08-24 15:24:40
According to CoinMeta, the Russian Central Bank has announced the relaxation of regulations for qualified investors, opening up new domestic testing pathways for individuals seeking to qualify as such. This change will enable more Russians to enjoy higher cryptocurrency purchase limits under the new regulatory market framework. The new rules will take effect on August 31st, and individuals will need to pass a financial market knowledge test and provide an approved Russian certificate to qualify. Qualified investors will have an annual purchase limit of 3 million rubles, while non-qualified investors will be limited to 300,000 rubles. The deputy governor of the central bank stated that the testing will make obtaining the status of a qualified investor "more accessible and prudent."
