Arthur Hayes: Bitcoin could reach $126,000 in 2026

According to CoinMeta, co-founder Arthur Hayes predicts that Bitcoin could reach $126,000 by the end of 2026. His view is based on the exacerbation of global debt issues, increasing pressure in the bond market, and the possibility of central banks injecting new liquidity. He points out that the current US debt is around $40 trillion, and sustained high interest rates could put even more pressure on the Treasury bond market. The recent increase in Treasury bond repurchases is seen as an early sign that officials are willing to intervene when yields are too high, which means that more liquidity will drive up the prices of risk assets, and Bitcoin could be a major beneficiary. Hayes also mentioned that if Bitcoin suddenly falls to $35,000 due to forced selling or significant liquidation events, he does not think that would mark the beginning of another long-term bear market, but rather it could become what investors expect to be a "surrender candle" (a pattern indicating a potential turning point).
