Analyst: Gold rebound encounters resistance, how to perform a tactical pullback with limited risk
2026-08-26 01:02:26
According to CoinMeta, gold's rebound has just encountered resistance and is currently in the process of adjusting at key technical levels. Gold stocks (_GLD) have seen a significant rise since the July lows, and the overall gold market rebound has made up for the losses from earlier this year. Although the overall recovery remains positive, the short-term situation is different. After reaching a high of nearly $496 earlier this year, it fell to a low of $365; the current key focus is around $430. On Monday, after approaching that level, the price opened lower, and the rebound became technically overbought, providing a reason for sellers. The next area to watch is around $415, which is close to the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level and the 200-day moving average of the decline (GLD). Mark Newton, the global technical strategy director, believes that gold and cryptocurrencies may experience a small pullback, but the overall bullish trend still exists.
