2026-08-26 12:24:07
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Nikkei, Japanese financial authorities such as the Financial Services Agency, the Ministry of Finance, and the Bank of Japan are preparing to study a blockchain settlement system that can handle stock and government bond transactions around the clock. It is expected that a research team will be established in the summer of 2026, with the goal of completing the preliminary development plan by early 2027. The system is designed to more closely link securities transfers with corresponding cash payments, allowing investors to receive sales proceeds more quickly and reinvest almost immediately. This infrastructure is scheduled to be put into use in the early 2030s, provided that the plan receives formal approval.
