Thailand's central bank maintains interest rates unchanged for the third consecutive time

According to CoinMeta, the Bank of Thailand has maintained its policy interest rate at 1.00% for the third consecutive time, in line with market expectations. Despite the impact of the Middle East situation on energy prices, inflation in Thailand remains within the target range, which means that the central bank does not need to raise interest rates to curb rising prices like many other central banks. Thailand's economic growth has been weak, and although the government has introduced stimulus measures, it still faces challenges such as weak domestic consumption and high household debt. Economic growth slowed significantly in the second quarter, and the likelihood of a rate hike in the short term seems low, unless inflation heats up significantly.
