Sources familiar with the matter say that Russia is currently considering increasing the intensity of conventional ballistic missile attacks on infrastructure targets in Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. These sources indicate that all negotiation frameworks have essentially collapsed, and both sides in the conflict have returned to their initial positions. They also stated that Putin will not end the war due to the economic pressures imposed by sanctions, as well as Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries and logistics networks. The sources noted that Moscow increasingly regards Ukrainian airstrikes as attacks by NATO countries, as NATO member states provide weapons and intelligence to Kiev. The sources added that the current phase of hostilities has not yet reached a peak of military escalation.
