Analysis of the Financing Strategies of AMD and Intel Respectively
2026-08-27 01:24:39
According to CoinMeta, AMD and Intel have recently raised funds through artificial intelligence initiatives. On August 13, 2026, AMD launched a four-part bond issuance, aiming to raise $4 billion to $5 billion, joining the trend of the tech industry in raising capital for AI. Meanwhile, Intel raised $20 billion by issuing additional shares. Both companies entered the capital market within the same week, but their financing methods were quite different: AMD chose debt financing, while Intel opted for a new share issuance. Will AMD's debt strategy better protect existing shareholders, or will it increase financial risks during the expansion process? AMD expects its revenue in the third quarter to exceed Wall Street's forecasts, and data center sales are expected to double by 2027. Unlike Intel's stock sales, AMD's debt must eventually be repaid. Intel's share issuance, on the other hand, diluted the holdings of existing shareholders.
