CFTC Reminds Investors to Use Cryptocurrencies Cautiously ATM
2026-08-27 12:02:51
According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) reminds investors to be cautious when using crypto ATM. The CFTC points out that although these crypto assets resemble traditional ATM in appearance, cash deposited by users is converted into other crypto assets such as BTC and USDT and transferred to designated wallets. These transactions are usually immediate and irreversible, and can be exploited by scammers and money laundering networks to conceal identities and transfer funds. The CFTC advises users to verify the recipient and the purpose of the transaction before proceeding, and not to transfer funds via crypto ATM at the request of strangers or so-called investment opportunities.
